Location

Sitting at 1,350 m above sea level, at the very foot of Rozhen Peak, COOP Rozhen Hotel provides opportunities for holidays throughout the year. It is surrounded by mountain landscapes and coniferous forests. Being in close proximity to a large mountain resort, the hotel is easily accessible from every part of Bulgaria and is only 90 km away from Plovdiv and 220 km away from Sofia. Since the hotel lies on the very edge of the road, it can be reached by the intercity coach services operating in the region as well.

Climate

The region is characterised by transitional-continental mountain climate with pronounced influence by the White Sea and great variations due to the landscape, the altitude and the general position of the mountain’s slopes relative to the sun. The average annual temperature is between 7 and 9°C and no more than 4-5°C for the ridges of Chernatitsa, Mursalitsa and Prespa. The snow cover lasts between 80 and 120 days. The bioclimatic record of the region demonstrates that thanks to its favourable bioclimatic conditions in all four seasons, it is suitable for healthy habitation and recreation throughout the year.
